The Haimer Universal 3D‑Sensor with integrated BT40 taper is a highly precise and robust measuring instrument designed for milling and EDM machines. Built for intuitive edge-finding and workpiece alignment, this model features an integrated BT40 shank for direct spindle compatibility, minimising setup time and improving repeatability.
Unlike traditional edge-finders, the Universal 3D‑Sensor allows measurements in all three axes (X, Y, and Z), enabling exact spindle positioning with no manual calculation required. When the needle reaches zero, the spindle is aligned perfectly with the workpiece edge. This eliminates the need to account for the probe ball diameter, just zero it out and go.
The included short probe tip (Ø 4 mm) uses a ceramic stem to protect the device against collision damage. For deeper or recessed measurements, the long probe tip is also available as an accessory.
